1. Find the invitation and deadline
Check your employer’s onboarding materials or ask HR where to begin.
- Confirm your eligibility date, enrollment deadline, coverage start date and where elections must be completed.
- If your employer uses SSGI One, follow its invitation and sign-in instructions at SSGIone.com. Access depends on your employer’s setup; this public guide does not create an account.
2. Read before choosing
Keep the plan materials available while you compare.
- Review the SBC, employee contributions, provider network, prescriptions and dependent eligibility rules.
- Ask where to find the SPD or other governing plan documents and whom to contact about questions.
- Consider how a spouse’s coverage or other existing coverage interacts with these options before making changes.
3. Finish the required steps
A saved draft may not be a submitted election.
- Complete the review and submission steps your employer requires, including any waiver or beneficiary instructions that apply.
- Use the approved secure channel for required dependent documentation. Do not email sensitive records or upload them to a general inquiry form.
4. Keep confirmation
Check the result, not just the final click.
- Keep the confirmation or receipt and confirm the coverage effective date.
- Check later payroll deductions and plan materials for consistency. Report discrepancies promptly through your employer’s service process.
5. Know where help lives
Use HR, your plan administrator or the client service path for enrollment questions.
- A portal access issue and a coverage question may have different next steps. Explain the task you were trying to complete without sharing passwords or medical details.
- If your circumstances change later, contact the appropriate team promptly; do not assume an election will change automatically.
