One year of support is welcome. Returning is how a commitment begins to take shape. In September 2022, SSGI came back to HCAA's Rock the Lot as a Lager Sponsor, contributed canned goods again, and joined an event that collectively gathered 797 pounds of food for the HCAA Food Pantry.

The day at a glance

Showing up for year two

The 2022 event built on the 2021 Rock the Lot model: a free, family-friendly afternoon at Double Groove Brewing Company that turned live music and food trucks into direct support for HCAA. Proceeds from the event supported the HCAA Food Pantry, and attendees were invited to bring canned goods to help fill HCAA's van.

SSGI participated as a Lager Sponsor and, in addition to its Lager Sponsorship, donated canned goods to the 2022 event food drive. Returning to the same partnership in its second year is the part that turns a single sponsorship into a habit.

797 pounds of community generosity

The 2022 event collectively collected 797 pounds of food for the HCAA Food Pantry—a community-wide contribution from everyone who brought canned goods to the lot that afternoon. The Harford Community Action Agency operates the HCAA Food Pantry as part of its broader food-insecurity work across Harford County, and Rock the Lot 2022 was organized as a community-facing way to restock the pantry ahead of the colder months.

A festival with a pantry purpose

Rock the Lot 2022 was the second year of the partnership between Double Groove Brewing Company, the organizing team, and the Harford Community Action Agency. By directing proceeds and a canned-goods drive to the HCAA Food Pantry, the event again turned a free community afternoon into material support for neighbors facing food insecurity in Harford County. The full event details live on the official HCAA Rock the Lot 2022 page.

Consistency is the point

SSGI is a Maryland-rooted, family-owned company. Coming back to Rock the Lot in its second year—rather than treating the first as a one-time gesture—is the part that matters. Consistency is how a sponsor becomes a partner, and how a community event becomes a tradition. The same consistency shapes the team behind SSGI and why employers choose SSGI year-round.

Rock the Lot began in 2021, and the same community commitment extends to other Harford County traditions:
