Benefits Implementation & Client Onboarding Center

A free, private, no-information-required educational planning tool for employers implementing a new or changed benefit. Answer four fixed-choice questions and we'll produce a transparent, prioritized implementation-readiness plan — your readiness band, the critical path from now through the first 30 days, who does what, and how to prepare securely for a conversation with your SSGI advisor.

This is educational planning guidance only. It is not a binding implementation schedule, an enrollment transaction, a plan document, a coverage determination, legal advice, a carrier commitment, or a system of record. SSGI coordinates work but is not the carrier, payroll vendor, TPA, or legal counsel. Nothing you select is saved, sent, or shared. For guidance tailored to your circumstances, talk to an SSGI advisor.

How an implementation runs with SSGI

An implementation isn't a single handoff — it's a five-stage sequence. Here's how the stages line up, from first discovery through ongoing support. Each stage is described truthfully; no timelines or outcomes are guaranteed, because every implementation depends on your partners, your systems, and your population.

  1. Discover

Understand the change you're implementing, the people it touches, and the partners who need to be at the table — before any system work begins.

    What SSGI does
Listens to your goals, frames the scope and stakeholders, and helps define what 'done' looks like at a business level.
    What you do
Shares the intended effective date, the change at a business level, and the partners already in play.
  2. Design

Shape the implementation design — plan, contributions, eligibility rules, and the system touchpoints between carrier, payroll, and TPA.

    What SSGI does
Advises on plan design, contributions, and eligibility at a business level, and maps the partner handoffs.
    What you do
Approves the design, names an owner for each partner relationship, and confirms the timeline at a milestone level.
  3. Enroll

Set up enrollment, coordinate data between systems, and make sure your people know what's changing and where to get help.

    What SSGI does
Coordinates enrollment setup, drafts employee communications, and helps route questions during the window.
    What you do
Sends the communications, briefs managers, and tracks enrollment completion against the deadline.
  4. Validate

Run a final readiness check before the effective date — systems, data, billing, and support routes — and confirm everything is live and correct.

    What SSGI does
Runs the go-live readiness check with you and stands up real-time support routing for the transition.
    What you do
Confirms the effective date is set, communications are sent, and support routes are staffed.
  5. Support

Stabilize in the first 30 days — track completion and deduction accuracy, reconcile billing, and make sure employees know where to get help.

    What SSGI does
Helps resolve first-cycle errors, coordinates with the carrier, payroll, and TPA, and reviews what to improve next time.
    What you do
Tracks the first pay cycles, follows up on errors fast, and closes the loop with employees on coverage and support.

SSGI is an independent benefits brokerage and advisor. SSGI is not a carrier, payroll vendor, third-party administrator, fiduciary, legal adviser, or system of record. Carriers, payroll vendors, and TPAs remain responsible for their own systems, data, and deliverables; SSGI coordinates and advises. BenefitZone is a third-party portal destination only.
